This pic shows a race prepped crankshaft journal. This is a low budget cast crank, that will be fine for this application. The oil holes have been chamfered larger to help with oil flow and distribution, and inside and out of the chamfer is deburred. The crankshaft has been ground to .010/.010 undersize, and polished to a mirror finish using three grades of polishing belts. The crankshaft in theory never touches the bearings- it rides on a film of oil. HANZ' engine house is known for building 'bullet proof' bottom ends.
